Colorful Childhood is a charitable organization based in Santa Barbara, CA. It was founded to offer mental health services, research, education, and advocacy for children and families.
Yelena Lipovetskaya, the founder of Colorful Childhood, is a mother of three young children in Santa Barbara, CA, an impact entrepreneur*, a certified parent-infant coach, and a marriage and family therapist trainee. Yelena took on this exciting and challenging business venture when she became aware how critical babies’ early attachments with the caregivers are to their brain development, their mental wellness, and their sense of self and the world around them. Most parents know very little about attachment. Even if they heard the buzz word, what does it even mean? What are some practical simple steps parents can incorporate into their lives? What if they need help? What if the child or the parent has special needs? What if the mother is suffering from Postpartum Depression?
Colorful Childhood is on a mission to educate the community about importance and practical skills of early bonding, as well as offer support and resources to those parents and caregivers who might need extra help.
The company is funded in part by several on-line stores which help us to raise money for these services by offering inspiring colorful products that help parents and children create an environment that is imaginative, safe, flexible and fun.
We have two on-line stores: Colorful Childhood Store – Made in USA and Colorful Kids World, where you can find beautiful, colorful and affordable products for children’s room. We manufacture our own exclusive 3D Nursery Wall Murals – Made in USA designs in Jungle Animals Wall Murals. We exhibited at Toy Fair 2013 and offer 3D Wall Murals for wholesale and dropship.
